Fitting Your CB And Troubleshooting Problems getting the most enjoyment out of wearing your CB
|
We get many questions from people who have purchased one of our products. The questions mainly focus on how to get the proper fit of the CB and then how to wear the CB on a daily basis. We will try to address the many questions here. If you have a question that is not answered here, please send us an e-mail at info@keptforher.com.

If you also got a KSD-G2, you will now put it into the tube because you must put the KSD-G2 and the tube on together. Never put the KSD-G2 onto your shaft by itself!!! Take
some lubricant (silicone preferably, but others will do, or use some soap) and put it on the head and shaft of your penis. With your little finger or Q-tip, begin to work the head into the
KSD-G2/tube. Using the Q-tip, work the remainder of the head/shaft into the tube as far as you can. Push the head/shaft through the vent holes with the Q-tip.
IF you cannot get yourself into the KSD-G2, take it off for now and just focus on the tube. We are interested in getting the right fit of the whole CB for now. We can deal with the
KSD-G2 later. If it's too small, we will gladly replace it at no charge except for shipping!
If you are putting on the KSD-G2, you will want to have some Q-tips handy. As you are pulling the KSD-G2/tube up to your head, begin pushing the head of your penis into the
KSD-G2 with a Q-tip. Alternate pushing some at the top and some at the bottom. Now, once the head is in, use the Q-tip to push through the vent holes to help get the rest of the
head and shaft down into the tube. Get as much of your head and shaft into the tube as possible.
Now, pull the CB up to the Cuff Ring, aligning the locking pin and the two guide pins with the holes in the tube and ring. Once the locking pin is through the tube, you will want to
use another of the spacers to make a tight fit when you put the lock through the hole. If necessary, now is a good time to change the locking pin and use a shorter one if you did not
put on the KSD-G2. Make sure the opening at the end of your penis is lined up with the opening at the end of the CB tube.
Now, if you have the right length locking pin and a spacer between the Cuff Ring and the KSD-G2 and/or the tube, go ahead and fit the lock through the hole. Is the unit fitted
tightly together? If not, adjust the spacer/pin combination. If there is too much play, you risk getting skin pinched during arousals.
How does it feel? If all seems well, wear it as is for a while and check for problems. If something is too tight, you will see some discoloration in the scrotum mainly. Do not let the
wearer be without access to the key until both the wearer and Keyholder are assured of a safe and comfortable fit! This might take several days to a couple of weeks. Keyholder, be
patient with the wearer, please!
It may take several adjustments to the Cuff ring, spacers, and/or locking pins before the male is assured of a secure and good fit. Do not settle for anything less than total security
for your Keyholder. She deserves it!
The 2 Alignment Posts Stick Out The Back. How Do I Cut Them? After you feel that you have a good fit, you will want to trim any excess length off of the two alignment posts.
Wait a week or so until you are sure that the fit is right. To cut them, you will want to make a mark on them while the CB is on you so you know exactly where to cut. Then, you can
take a hacksaw, some wire cutters or anything similar and cut them. It is best to then take some sandpaper and smooth off the edges. If you ever break one or you cut them too short,
they can be replaced. We have replacement pins that we will send to you for just the cost of postage.
How Do I Replace The Alignment Posts? The alignment posts are 3/16" diameter. If you break one, contact us and we can send you out replacements for the cost of postage. Here's
how to replace them. Sometimes you can pull the posts out with some pliers by twisting and pulling. Sometimes they are really stuck in there. They are not glued in, just pressed in. If
you can't pull them out, here's what to do. Cut them off as close to the cage as possible. Take a drill bit that is smaller than a 3/16" bit (11/64, 5/32, 9/64) and carefully drill out the
posts. The plastic of the posts is relatively soft, while the cages are very hard acryllic. Take your time and you will be fine. The reason for using a bit that is smaller than a 3/16th is so
that you don't "overdrill" the hole. Don't wiggle the drill or you will risk making the hole in the cage too large and the new posts might be loose. Now, just press in the new posts and
you'll be good to go.
Should I use a lubricant? We do not suggest using any lubricant on the inside of the tube. We suggest that you stay clean and dry inside the tube. You may want to put some good
quality hand lotion (Vaseline Intensive Care, Nutragena, etc.) between the inside of the ring and your skin. That will help with movement during the day and night.
What Kind Of Hygienic Supplies Should I Get? You will need a good squirt bottle, our Cleaning Swabs, some Q-tips, body wash, talcum powder.
What Kind Of Care Should I Give The Lock? Ever 1-2 weeks put one drop of oil into the lock. Use a multi-purpose oil or something like a WD-40. Even though the locks are made
of brass they will get corroded inside.
I Have Swelling and/or Discoloration. Either the Cuff Ring is too tight or you do not have enough spacing between the Cuff Ring and the KSD-G2 and/or the tube. Try the next
larger Cuff Ring if it is uncomfortably tight or use a bit more spacing, which will possibly necessitate a longer locking pin.
My CB Has Come Apart At The Seams. What Do I Do? The two halves of the CB's are fused together by sonic welding. They are not glued. Normally, one CB tube will last you
forever. However, if one does come apart, contact the company that you purchased it from. There is a one-year warranty from the manufacturer and you will get a replacement cage if
your cage was purchased within one year. If you must wear the CB while you are waiting for a replacement, put some super glue between the two halves to keep them from separating
during arousals and then closing and pinching you. If you purchased the cage from Kept For Her in the last 12 months, we will replace it for the cost of $6.00 shipping and handling.
We will require your cage back within 7 days or we will bill your credit card the full amount of the new cage.
I Have Pain During Arousals. Is the pain from the CB pulling on the underside of your scrotum? Unless the Cuff Ring is just too tight, that is something that you will have to live
with. Your body will adjust. However, if there is undue swelling and/or discoloration, take off the CB and make adjustments to the Cuff Ring size.
In The Morning I Have A Hard Time Urinating. That is probably because you have woken up somewhat aroused. If the opening at the end of your penis lined up with the hole at the
end of the tube, you'll be fine. If not, take a Q-tip and try to move it to where it is lined up. Now, try to relax. Sit on the toilet (lid open!) and pull out on the lock trying to stretch the
unit and straighten out your shaft. Try making some short bursts of liquid. You will find that it comes out rather easily.
When I Use A Hinged Ring I Get Chaffing From The Rivet. That is a common problem. Some men switch to a solid ring which we sell. Otherwise, you might want to put a piece of
gauze around it. Another idea is to go the foot care section of a drug store. There you should find bunion covers. They are like little stretchable tubes of gauze that are about 1"
long. You will feed over one end of the hinged ring and work it down over the rivet.
I Find That I Leak A Little Urine Or Seminal Fluid During The Day. After urinating, take two fingers and "chase" the remaining fluid out of your shaft. Do it by placing the two
fingers firmly between the scrotum and anus and using pressure, move the liquid forward to the ring. You will get most out that way.
My Head And Shaft Get Dried In The Tube. That can be caused by an excess of soap residue being left after either getting fitted or after cleaning. Make sure that you flush the soap
and/or the lubricant out of the tube. For a good squirt bottle that will get inside the tube easily, click here.
How Do I Stay Clean For Daily And/Or Long-Term Wear? In the morning and evening, take either a squirt bottle or shower stream and get some water inside the tube. Use some of
our Cleaning Swabs found on our Accessories page. Now, squirt some soap into the tube and work it around with a Cleaning Swab or Q-tip. Use the squirt bottle with clean water
and flush the soap out from the inside of the tube. Now, using some Q-tips, try to get as dry as possible inside the tube. Do not let water get trapped between the tube and the
scrotum or under the Cuff Ring or you will get chaffing and odors.
Can I Swim, Run, And Have Other Physical Activities While Wearing A CB? Yes! If the sport is extremely fast-paced, you may want to use an athletic supporter. Otherwise, you will
be fine.
How Do I Deal With Frustration And Mental Anxiety While Wearing A CB? Putting on a CB will not be as hard to get used to physically as it will mentally. All of a sudden you
have something that is very important taken away from you. You can no longer touch it or stimulate yourself. The best answer is "just deal with!" Hopefully, the Keyholder is kind
and will not just leave you alone. There should be some good play and attention given to the male. He's not as strong as he makes himself out to be. After a few months, the CB will
be a normal part of your lifestyle. Both physically and mentally you will become accustomed to it to the point where when it is taken off you will look forward to getting it put back on
again.
If possible, get your mind off of the fact that you are locked up. When anxiety hits, go for a walk, call a friend or your KeyHolder, get involved in a hobby, go to the store. Also, you
might want to interact with others on a couple of message boards: www.locknkeep.com and www.lockmeup.com. You will find others who have probably experienced just what you
are going through.
I Get Skin Poking Out Of The Vent Holes Especially In The CB-3000 and the CB-6000. This may happen during arousals. Take some clear packing tape and put it over the holes.
That will stop that problem. To get the skin out of the holes, pull backwards on the shaft until the skin pulls back down.
The Lock Rubs On Skin Poking Through Vent Holes. Again, use some clear packing tape and put it over the vent holes.
What About The Fit Of The KSD-G2 or KSD-G3? If the KSD-G2 or G3 is too tight, you will not be able to urinate properly. Take some 80-grit sandpaper and open it up a bit. Now
try it. If it is still too tight, sand it some more. Once you are satisfied with the fit, use some 120-grit sandpaper to smooth it out a bit. If the KSD-G2 is too loose and you can easily
pull out, contact us and we will exchange it at no charge, except for shipping.
Can I Make It Through The Airport Security Check With A CB On? They are all plastic. If you use hinged rings, you will have no problem with the small rivet. If you are concerned
about the lock, use plastic locks.
Fitting and Wearing of the CB
I Just Received My CB, How Do I Get A Good Fit? The CB is made up of several components. Depending on which unit you purchase, you
will have the large ring called the Cuff Ring (either solid or hinged or 3-piece for the CB-6000), the locking pins (3 or 4 lengths), 4 or 5 spacers,
and the tube and the lock. The CB-6000 has four locking pin lengths and corresponding spacers.
First, you want to get the right fit of the large Cuff ring. This ring goes around your penis and the under side of the scrotum. You want the ring
to be a bit snug, but not too tight and not too loose.
If you are using a solid ring, the locking pin will only go through one side and be still flush with the surface of the ring. Take a locking pin and
see which side of the solid ring it will go all the way into and the head of the pin be flush with the surface of the ring. That is the side of the ring
that you want toward your body. Now, you will pull some scrotum skin through the ring. Now, sort of squeeze one testicle through the ring and
pull some more skin through. Now squeeze the other testicle through. If you can't get a testicle through, go up a size of the ring. Now, push the
head of your penis under the ring and pull it through. How does it feel? Is there a little bit of play? If so, go with it for now. You can always
change later. If you are using the hinged rings supplied with the CB-3000 or Curve, open one up and slip it around the scrotum and over the
penis. Check for a good fit. Adjust accordingly.
For the CB-6000, the ring is a 3-piece design. Take the larger ring portion and fit it under the scrotum close to the body. Now take the part that
has the two alignment pins and push it through the back. Be careful not to pinch! Now take the other piece that slips over the alignment pins
and pull it up against the outside of the ring and make sure it fits snugly. Again, watch out not to pinch or catch hair!
Now for the locking pins and spacers. Start with the longest locking pin for now and push it through the side of the ring closest to your body.
Take one of the largest spacers and fit it onto the locking pin. You must use a spacer or you will pinch your scrotum between the Cuff ring and
the tube. Your scrotum will swell up and will turn colors.
